playing dress up
Sometimes, ok a lot of the time, I like to dress up in funky outfits and shoes. This look really affirms that fact. My base piece is this gorgeous knit maxi that I found on sale recently at Anthro. From there I went a little wild!
Since I am so small, I had to wear my very tall Jeffrey Campbell Lelas. They add a good 7 inches, but I still definitely have to take the dress to a tailor. Once I put on the shoes, I really had to bring it with the rest of the outfit. I chose to put on my faux fur cropped jacket. An old go-to because it instantly adds a chic and opulent attitude to any look.
I completed the look with my jewelry. The large grey flower pin is just so fun, and ties the shoes into the rest of the outfit. In order to not seem too cutesy or feminine, I chose to wear my staple angular and chunky rings, as well as a mixed metal chain necklace. I love those little unexpected edges and details--nothing new! I had so much fun dressing up for no reason, and truly just styling what I felt.
