snuggled up

snuggled up

I've been battling a cold this week, which has been difficult to say the least. I am finally on the mend, but being sick definitely affects one's fashion choices. Jackie and I decided to go into Chinatown this particular day, and it was FREEZING. A wool scarf, knee high socks and leather boots were a must.

I do love some winter layers, especially unexpected layers. I'm obsessed with my BCBG dress because it is great for exactly this. For this outfit,  I styled an awesome crochet top that my sister gave me during the Thanksgiving holiday over the dress. My sister works in the wardrobe department for films and always has the best finds. This top rules and I can't wait to wear it again.

Also, tis the season for witchy dressing. This is my sick (possibly homeless) witch look. I am super into anything black or lace at the moment. This lace sweater is witch-tastic and has beautiful details, like it's sheer diagonal lines and subtle side slits.

Black Dress: BCBG, Morning Glory; Top: Vintage; Lace Sweater: No Label, Bare Necessities; Leggings, Jigsaw London; Socks: Uniqlo; Boots: Jigsaw London; Bag: Kate Spade; Scarf, J.Crew
