summer groovin'

With June almost in the books and July not far behind- let's pause for a moment- because summer is here and will be gone before we know it! I've been loving the '70s vibes that I am seeing all over fashion-land. I don't know if I'll be rocking bell-bottoms anytime soon, but I am definitely rocking a gaucho this summer. Oh wait, already did!

In a previous blog post, I talked about how I've reconnected with Forever 21. First, it was over a long denim duster, and now it's a pair of washed denim gauchos. Gauchos are pretty difficult to wear, as they are unflattering for the majority of people. See: major camel toe. I was a victim to the CT when trying these gauchos on in my usual size, but after sizing up a few (okay like three sizes), these were just the right amount of loose fabric to make me feel oversized-cool.

Other 70s trends I am into at the moment: off the shoulder blouses (especially when worn like this), lace-up sandals (swooning over these here), and neck-tie blouses (how cute does this look!).

What 70s vibes will you be rocking the summer?

Sweater: Zara (old but similar here); Tunic: Jigsaw London (old similar here and here); Denim Pants: Forever 21 (love these here and here as well); Sandals: Birkenstock
