I never win anything.
Except this awesome new piece, courtesy of The Podolls.
After a fun night of shopping, drinks, and cupcakes at the Freda Salvador trunk show, I slipped my name into a little jar labeled "Raffle!!". I thought about the last thing I won, tickets to a German opera back in 2010 (...seriously), and figured I had nothing to lose. As it turns out, I am a pretty lucky lady!
Everything about this piece is perfect.
For starters, I love anything that can be worn as more than one article of clothing. Here I'm wearing it as a dress with an ivory slip underneath, but it also looks great as a top with jeans, or tucked into a high-waisted skirt or pair of shorts.
Even better, the fabric is insanely soft. All products by The Podolls are created sustainably in the USA, out of the highest quality materials.
I love a company that stands by quality and strong ethics.
Along with the good news comes something a little sad.
Just hours after snapping these pics, my first (and fave!) Sergio bracelet somehow snapped off my wrist, and is lost forever. It had been coming off every now and then, but I always noticed right away. My thought is that it snapped off while I was walking around, not paying attention. *tear*
I guess sometimes you win some, then literally lose some.
I just hope whoever found it on the ground is extra fabulous. RIP my bracelet. *another tear*
