It was so awesome having the same day off as my manager, Alison of EÀLM, because we were finally able to do a little blog collaboration together!

Alison and I have been lusting over our local post office, which is in talks of being torn down to create extra parking. It's very sad because it is simply stunning inside with Italian marble and old world charm. We were determined to get a few shots inside, even if that meant getting weird stares from suburban residents. It was actually pretty comical and I think all the senior citizens enjoyed seeing a bit of action on a random weekday.

I purchased this anorak jacket while on vacation in Chicago. I've been looking around for a good one, but had been unsuccessful. I wanted a jacket that would be timeless, while still being trendy. Don't get me wrong- I think leather contrast sleeves are very cool, but I don't know if I'll be rocking that in three years. The wash on this particular jacket was unique, almost a tie-dye look, giving it that perfect amount of modern trendiness.

Bay Area weather, what can you say : one minute it's hot, the next it's cold.

This day was the latter, so I had to do some summer layering. I love the contrast of the army green against the emerald green blouse. It's unexpected. Also, I am officially obsessed with my abarcas. They are such a smart looking sandal that gives a certain European flavor to this look.

Trooper Jacket: Talula, Aritzia; Blouse: United Colors of Benetton; Sweater: J.Crew; Jeans: United Colors of Benetton; Abracas: Jigsaw London; Bag: Vintage; Necklace: J.Crew

A special thanks again to Alison for taking such wonderful photos of Jackie and me. Be sure to check out her blog! It's pretty awesome, just like her :)

xx,
