hawaiian punch

I'm a sucker for prints, but I've never been much of a Hawaiian print fan. I think Hawaiian shirts were possibly one of the worst trends of the nineties. Remember how your dad would wear them as a more "formal" type of shirt, or how boys would pair their Hawaiian printed shirts with a string of puka shells around their necks? Okay, I take it back- puka shell necklaces were the worst trend of the nineties.

I don't know what it was about this dress, but it caught my eye in the J.Crew window a few weeks ago. When I recently went into the store, it felt like fate when I spotted this dress in my size and on sale. A major fashion win-win situation.

I love almost everything about this dress: the shape, the straps, the colors, the list goes on. It's a fun piece that I definitely want to get some wear out of during the summer months. I think it would look super cute with a chambray or any type of button-down layered over it with a little knot in the front. Rightttt?
